Mum and Dad are always up for a bit of fun. We went for a walk to the park this morning and they tried out all the play equipment (see extras). 

I walked on further to Buxted, my favourite local destination. Through the woods, past the hotel and then to the church, where I met a man who was practising the organ for tomorrow morning's service. The church organist had died last year and the stand-in was in Alaska, so he had offered to play and was feeling nervous about it. There were to be two baptisms as well. The man told me that he had been baptised there in 1943. The font dates from the 13th century so there must have been very many babies christened in it.
