Gayle Beck waterfalls (and the pigeon)
Holiday backblip 9
After an excellent breakfast, it was a very pleasant wander round Grassington before setting off on the journey home.
Stopped off in Hawes for a while - walked as far as Gayle Beck to look at the falls, and did some window shopping on the way back to the car.
We had hoped to go back via the Tan Hill Inn, but just before arriving at the start of the steep, winding road up to the pub some eejit had driven his large lorry past the large sign stating 'Road unsuitable for HGVs and buses'. As if to prove the point, the lorry was stuck diagonally across the road! Never mind, the alternative route via Kirkby Stephen was very pleasant!
Back home by mid-afternoon. Time for some unpacking before getting changed and setting off for Liz B's birthday bash. A lovely evening...
