Visit to V&A, Dundee
A lovely, bright, sunny day
A busy morning at church - I was leading the service and my wife was speaking about 'drawing close to God'.
After lunch we decided to visit the new V&A Museum, which opened last month. It has been very busy, with 100,000 people visiting in the first month. Being such a beautiful day, there were many people out walking around and taking pictures of this really unique building. Having taken a few myself, we then went inside - it is truly breathing in concept and design. There were long queues for the special exhibitions so we decided to visit later on a weekday, when possibly it won't be quite as busy. We did have a cup of tea beside a window which gave a great view of the Tay Road Bridge. Because the 'prow' of the building projects out into the estuary, it felt as if we were on a large Cruise ship.
I can highly recommend a trip to Dundee to visit the Museum, and a warm welcome for Blip friends to stay with us.
