Kamikaze canoe

Today's the day ......................... to shoot the rapids

Went to Force Falls on the River Kent this afternoon to see if the salmon were leaping. And indeed they were - although unlike last year I didn't manage to catch one on camera.

There were others, throwing themselves about in the river in a similarly reckless fashion - except they were going with the flow rather than against it. This mad canoeist seemed to be totally out of control as he plunged down the waterfalls. He was completely upside down at the bottom of this one but managed to right himself - just before the next one got him.

You have to think that he was enjoying himself - otherwise, why would anyone put themselves through this complete madness ...........................?!
