2012 Sunday — Autumn in Southern California

This is one of the regions of the nation that most people think has no seasons . . . just summer all year long. While that may seem likely, that's not exactly true. So today's scene in our front yard captured my attention. I thoroughly enjoy autumn.

I left the pooches upstairs in the office window and snuck out to take this photo. When they first spotted me in the front yard, all three were face-forward, but when I continued to mess around shooting, two lost attention and probably started playing grab-fanny with each other; only little Chloe is visible here. She sticks pretty close to me and is watching carefully in this shot to see what I'll be doing next.
