Decay
We have a small acer tree in our garden. When we moved here in 1995 it was a potted plant merely a couple of feet tall with hardly any spread. Over the years we moved it a couple of times before finally planting it in its present position around 2005. Since then it has grown and grown 'til now, when it has a spread of 10 plus and a height of 6 feet. It is magnificent, but never more so than when it finally starts to shed its leaves, turning this glorious red colour before finally shrivelling and falling .
Today, in bright sunlight, it was particularly colourful and I just loved the bokeh of the background in this shot.
