Receding Heir-line!

My title says it all!

As GK and I went to the Grand Hyatt to meet up with a friend and her mum for lunch......who should be strolling along through the reception area, complete with entourage and bodyguards par excellence....but Sheikh Mo himself...Vice president of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai!

Thats him, side on, stroking his beard, and striding out in the direction of the Royal Suite!! located somewhere via the lift on the top floor of the hotel!

Receding Heir-line......because we only had one camera and GK was busy outside taking a photo of a Mercedes SUV with a Dubai 1 number plate. By the time the camera got to me....I'd missed the full frontal!!!!! but still managed to capture this passing moment!

We duly stood and watched him disappear before continuing for our lunch date....and what do you know!! He'd apparently just finished lunching at the very 'Market Cafe' restaurant we'd chosen to dine in!

The staff were all hands on deck to reset the tables for us regulars, and I was fortunate enough to be able to blip his very special gold edged plates that were just lying there! ....and peruse the leftovers...but haven't blipped those! A man needs his dignity kept intact!

Its a first....

In all my years in Dubai...I have never before seen him in the flesh and such a close encounter leaves your mind doing a reshuffle of audio (what you hear of him) and visual (what you see) and then trying to marry them together! Still working on that!!
