Powis

A delightful day out with mother dear today. We walked all around the gardens of Powis Castle then took the path through the grounds into Welshpool. Oswestry Town Councillors could learn a thing or two from how Welshpool has been run over the last decade or so. It was a bit of a joke town when I went to school there but instead of letting it slip into a den of charity shops and pound lands it's now transformed into a delightful little market town. We had a lunch stop in town before walking back through the grounds. 

Half term breaks make me long for retirement.
