More Autumn leaves

Leaves on the cherry tree have turned a rich dark red. Everywhere now the leaf colours are a real spectacle.
I shopped in the village this morning and was disappointed to discover the closure of a small Co-op supermarket. It was never a very successful store, not comparing well with a bigger supermarket down the road, but it is still not good to see an empty shop.
I welcomed WI friends at home this afternoon. We had gathered to plan the WI Christmas party and came up with lots of ideas. It should be fun. We are not the main WI committee so we hope they approve of our plans. I really enjoyed being involved again.
