Aligning Stars

Dear O'H dear and Lovely Tea Jenny,

We went out with Marsh and Kitty Cat for dinner at Bia Bistrot tonight. I really liked the restaurant and I would definitely go back. We did that thing where we predicted the food that our partners were going to order and then laughed because we really are very predictable! It was a lovely evening with good company. Kitty Cat had been out for lunch earlier in the day with her Mum, Jean and her Mum’s friend, Eve, both of whom have sadly been widowed in the last couple of years.

Eve was reminiscing about when she had first met her husband and Kitty Cat asked when she had realised that he was the one.

“My mouth was wide open and I just knew”

(Cue horrified spluttering from Kitty Cat)

“He was a dentist”

“You probably should have started with that’” suggested a very relieved Kitty Cat.

The only downside to the evening was The Prince being absolutely choked with a cold. He battled on until midnight but then needed to head home to bed. Marsh suggested that they come back too for a glass of wine. Sometimes I wonder if our house becomes a mystical beacon at pub closing time! Thankfully, it really was just a quick nightcap which meant steering clear of the hangover danger zone.
