Bucket List Item

The Festival Of Remembrance in the Centenery Year Of the end of the Great War.

Mark, Clare and I levered ourselves out of bed, Clare and I were heading off to London early and staying up town so we had to dress for the evening.

Breakfast for the second week running was in the Bluegrass Smokehouse but I didn’t find it as enjoyable as last week.

Train up and met Samantha at Paddington and then across to Victoria to meet Joshua. Nice balmy weather as we walked and chatted our way to Fortnum & Masons where Mrs S purchased her annual Chrimbo nibbles.

We then went for a coffee and whilst inside the heavens opened and we had torrential rain as we walked up to Picadilly tube station.

South Kensington and it was still raining, we all enjoyed a Five Guys burger meal before Clare and I said our farewells to the children. We then passed through the Royal Albert Hall security perimeter and dressed into blazer and medals on the door step.

Inside the Festival was everything I thought it would be, very emotional, very uplifting and full of memories, Clare and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Train to Reading, taxi to Caversham, coffee and bed, physically tired, emotionally drained.
