Found!
JR went to TWO fitness classes this morning - not unusual, actually. She's certainly getting her monthly subscription's worth. I'm not, which is why I'm reverting to the back room free gym, where I did 40 minutes on the bike, while watching Brexit news.
Today Archie had a very full diary today - TWO of his walkers had booked him in! Jordan came in the morning, and they went away up the hill and around and about. And guess what... They found the lost frisbee!! A kind lady in the allotment this morning heeded his pleas and let them in the locked gate. Jordan was really taken with the allotments, and had a wee look around. Meanwhile, the lady left and locked the gate behind her... after a while, they found someone to let them out again. Hmmm... a ten year waiting list, Jordan - get your name down now!
Jordan had a cup of coffee and we sat out in the back garden, it was so mild. He again admired our overloaded (and ignored) apple tree. Coming from Stornoway - where trees are rare - he hates to see waste. He gathered up two big bags of apples with the promise of a jar of apple chutney - a fair swap, I'd say.
Archie had a swift wash and brush up before his next walker arrived. But I made a mistake and told him about 1pm, but it was actually 1.30pm. That's a loooong time for a wee doggie to wait at the window, but he would not be distracted from his vigil. Isobel took him down to Dean Village, she had to pick up something in town anyway, but I think they'd both agree that the Hermitage is much better.
While he was out, we decided to pop to a non-dog friendly cafe for lunch. And it was great! I was able to get the bus there, which saved a lot of time, and when Isobel texted to say she was on her way home, I made a hasty exit, leave JR to pay the bill, and got the bus home. Just in time.
Archie is dozing happily now. I may have a coffee and then join him.
This photo made me laugh! Selfie by Jordan - he was so happy get the frisbee back. Though the allotments nearby don’t look in tip top condition...
