Diary of an Edinburgher

Lots of rugby

Annemique and Jenna came to pick up Archie for the day. Jenna hasn’t been for absolutely ages, but Archie gave her a good welcome. Though he saved his crazed, crying, jumping welcome for Annemique. They went to Cramond, and walked along the beach, up the river, and across to the island - all three were quite tired! And, er, he was sick in the car...

After our gyms, and once Archie had departed, we popped into town to see the Christmas Market. JR is always keen to visit it, but I feel I’ve seen it all before.

We had a wee wander round some shops, and a nice coffee and cake, and as we walked down towards the markets, we saw a huge long queue of folk waiting to get into the market!! Not being overly keen on going anyway, there was no way I was going to QUEUE!

Anyway, we can go any time, being retired. Going on the first Saturday that it opens was not such a good idea. I came home and had a lovely afternoon watching lots of rugby.

Good games, and well done Ireland! I don’t mind them beating the All Blacks, because my mum was Irish, and anyway, it makes world rugby (and next year's Rugby World Cup) much more interesting.

Photo by Annemique. Look at that empty beach!
