Viola

Today turned into a bit of 'one of those days'. Various discussions this morning with the manufacturers and the installers of our new gas fire with lots of head scratching as to why it is tripping out the electrics. They will be out next week to resolve the problem. W's car failed its MOT yesterday, largely because following her operation early in the year it has hardly been used (only just over 1000 miles since last year) so brakes had corroded and there was another problem too. The man at the garage proudly announced that it was the largest bill he had seen in all of his time of working there. And when we got home, W's front door key broke off in the lock. Fortunately, we managed to get it out so we only need a new key, not a new lock. I think I need a drink.

But in the meantime here is a viola for Flower Friday. They are gradually colonising all the bare patches in my lawn left after the scorching hot summer so at least the lawn looks green. And purple.
