SUN VOYAGER

This sculpture is located by Sæbraut, by the sea in the centre of Reykjavík, Iceland. Sun Voyager is a dreamboat about the Sun.
The inscription reads . . .
1986 Sun Voyager - we all have our fantasy boats - vessels that we dream of sailing away into a dream. In my ships I unite my own fantasy, precision and the knowledge that boatbuilders have developed throughout the ages. The sun ship gives us a promise of a primevil land.

Sadly there were no Northern Lights tonight in spite of a 4 hour watch. Guess we need to make a return visit !
