Children of Ethiopia

This morning we just started walking, on dirt tracks out of town and up onto a dry plateau. As this is the dry season, the fields were bare of crops, but there were plenty of cattle, donkeys and goats. As we walked, children ran over the fields to meet us, following us for a while, talking and laughing with us. They were all dressed in tattered clothes and the remnants of shoes.
