Lunch in town

Bike ✔️

A very dreich morning, so I postponed Libby’s second Archie visit. But I did have an ulterior motive - lunch in town. We were to meet Zoe, who has Wednesdays off, and so I didn’t want to miss out.

It was quite cold with the distinct possibility of rain, so Archie insisted on wearing we made Archie wear his coat, which he was NOT happy about. But he soon forgets about it when he's out and about.

We went to Rabble, a dog friendly restaurant that we haven’t been to for ages. We all chose to have fish and chips, and it was excellent. As was my half pint of Camden Hells lager, and JR's Brew Dog Elvis Juice. Archie received a very warm welcome there - the young lady behind the bar had eight schnauzers at home!

After lunch and a very good coffee, Archie and I left the others to do a bit of shopping, and we got the bus back to the Meadows, then had a run around there. After the morning's rain, and very black ominous skies, there was a weak sun all afternoon.

On the way home we popped in to see Rufus and his mum, and to inspect the new kitchen - not quite finished yet, but liveable with. JR caught up with us and joined us for a G&T.

That's the old hospital in the background, now converted into posh flats.
