Christmas is coming
Christmas - the gift that keeps on going when you need a quick blip!
We're clearly going through a bad patch at the moment... The eldest has been off nursery with a nasty bug. Then today, I had a call from the childminder to ask me to collect the youngest as he has conjunctivitis. On a positive note, I can now spell this, which I don't think I could when I woke up this morning. By the end of today, the eldest also had swollen, seeping eyes, so that's them both off tomorrow. And, tomorrow, I have a huge deadline at work. To cap it all, the husband is in London this evening and his trains home have been cancelled, he's managed to find something that will get him home just before midnight. And, there's a sign up saying the road into our village will be closed for one day - on the day that we move. I think that somewhere, someone has decided it's time to throw a few curve-balls our way to see what happens!
All I can say it thank goodness for Granny and Grandpa in Stamford, who have utterly saved the day today, and again tomorrow. We'd be absolutely stuck without them. Granny has made me promise we'll visit her when she is in an old people's home... I think I might take her out for the odd lunch as well.
I think I'm going to write this week off as a bit of a damp squib, and start again next week (with a house packed up and ready to move in just under 2 weeks).
