Wednesday: That Time Of Year

K. had a scan this morning, ahead of an appointment with the consultant so it was up early for us to go to that. She had the first appointment so we were in and out fairly quickly.

I then worked from home this morning as I was heading to Romanian National Day at lunchtime, and it was nearer to home than work. Romanian National Day was.........quirky.

The wine and brandy served was called 'Legend of Dracula' and had a very scary label. Following the speeches, an elderly couple in national dress took the podium and proceeded to read out long screeds of Romanian poetry which only about two other people in the room understood......but the traditional food was nice. We had sushi.

This evening it was off to the Germans for an event - on my way there I was surprised to see the Christmas market was already up and running......where has this year gone?
