Diary of an Edinburgher

Jordan came for Archie, causing the usual crying and hysterics (Archie). I was pleased to see him too. He bought a new toy for Archie to replace the lost frisbee (which he really didn’t need to). Archie who loved it.

The weather forecast for today had been rain, but it was wrong - it was sunny and dry. But freezing cold. Ideal for a brisk walk with a dog. I was so pleased that it wasn’t me doing the brisk doggie walk today.

JR is still not quite right. In fact, her morning started off with a prolonged coughing fit. 'I'm getting better!' she declared when she could speak again. But she wasn’t fit enough to come out to lunch.

So I took Uncle Angus out for a birthday lunch. We went to the Stable Bar, a place he hadn’t been before, so that was good. The menu met with his approval, the first item was fish and chips, through a vast array of tasty stuff, finishing with macaroni and cheese. Perfect! And we managed pudding as well.

When I came home, JR had rallied round enough to start Christmas decorations. Wee Archie did not escape - he was wearing a 'YO HO HO' bandana. Photo may follow...
