Snowy Casentino

In Florence and the surrounding hills no snow. But once above 700m there was snow in abundance. The sun was hot but in the shaded corners there was still ice on the back roads. This is up near 1000m a couple of km from the Consuma pass on a back road.

A bit disappointed with the photos I took. Very contrasty but I guess with snow and very strong light that is not surprising. Still on the shortest day of the year I'm not complaining.

Close up seems to work better than great sweeping landscapes. That's my last extra used up.
