Today's the day . . . . . . . . . . . . for something new

Rather a miserable and wet day but it didn't stop us getting out and about.

A coffee and a chat with Mrs Penally who gave us a warm welcome and let us sit out of the rain in her lovely new extension.  Then on to Blackwell, the Arts and Crafts House, overlooking Windermere for a look at their new display - and lunch.

Then we picked up Tim, Melanie and Dominic and drove to Keswick for a performance of the pantomime 'Beauty and the Beast'.  I say 'pantomime' but actually it wasn't like any other pantomime I'd ever seen.  It was a very strange production altogether.  Hopefully, all the deep, meaningful and quite adult messages would have gone completely over the heads of the 6-year olds that it was supposed to be suitable for.  

Fortunately, Dominic was just his usual happy self and just glad to be somewhere new........................!
