The Magic of Christmas

We had a very lazy morning, but that wasn't a bad thing as it was raining, so we had brunch about 11am and then had a wander into town once the rain had eased.  Most of the shops were open, although some of them were closing for lunch and not re-opening until 2.30pm, but by the time we'd walked as far as the beach and then stopped off to have a drink, they were open again.

There's a Jazz Festival on at the moment, and tonight there was a free concert at the Salle de Quatre Saisons with  'Amelie, Eddy et Le Big Band'.  They were performing free of charge but asking for donations to the Alzheimer's Association, so we decided to go along.  They sung a mix of English and French songs and were very good.  Mum particularly enjoyed it and said it was her and dad's kind of music.

We walked back through the Christmas Village and saw Santa in the Bandstand - he's obviously planning his long journey stating tomorrow night!

Once home, I cooked dinner and we had a very nice bottle of Riesling.  We're now relaxing in front of the TV - Alan's found a way that we can watch films in the 'Version Original' so we're currently watching 'Every Christmas has a Story'

Two more sleeps!
