A dull old day, wet when we got up and stayed Decemberish all day with lowering cloud you felt like water was going to fall out of at any moment.

We spent the morning on jobs of varying sorts, ironing, wrapping, sorting, bed making, filing (of papers not metal), wondering where today’s blip was going to come from.

Around 2.30 we braved the in inviting outdoors for a walk, calling in at the equally uninviting Tesco’s for those few things you inevitably forget. In my case it was soy sauce, parsley, mixed nuts and peanuts and chutney. Susan saw this as the perfect opportunity to buy a new sink brush and some painkillers to dull the effects of the coming days. Tesco’s was heaving even at 3.00pm and there were queues to get into the car park.

Mote Park was busy despite the drabness of the day. It wasn’t til we got home that today’s blip presented itself. Susan then had to go up to her mum’s to pack her all up and bring her down to us for Christmas. We’re making the long trip to Edinburgh on 27th (or 28th depending on Susan’s persuasion)
