My Willie
My Dear Fellows & Dear Princess,
First of all, I need to thank the Princess for her very thoughtful gifts. I love how you listen while I waffle on, and seemingly store little nuggets of info away for future gift use. It makes me feel all spesh and fuzzy.
Or is that wind? No, I'm going to say it is sentiment.
Boxing Day was very quiet by comparison to Christmas. For a start, LouLou was hungover. We wandered from our hotel over to the cottage to find her languishing under a blanket. She pulled herself together and drew her dressing gown about herself, "I'm so sorry for not wearing clothes. I hope you didn't get a flash of fanny," she added.
We were still laughing about Rowena and James and their bonus cockroach present. LouLou had been going through all the rest of her presents and found another large black one in another parcel. "I wonder how many cockroaches I've wrapped and given to people this year," she wailed.
It turns out that James & Rowena forgot to pick up their actual present when they left as well! Kyle noticed just as they were getting in their car; he went running after them but they were already pulling away.
We imagined them looking in the rear view mirror and saying, "He's trying to give us back the box o' vermin! Drive! Drive!"
Tiger fed us both lovely omelettes and then we caught a shuttle back to Wellington, still full of good vibes. We were delighted to see our little men, Jasper and Punky, when we got home. They seemed very excited and showed it with a long bout of the zoomies - haring from one room to another for about 30 minutes.
The rest of the day was very quiet. I looked at my presents and felt very loved. It has been a most excellent Christmas. I hope yours was likewise.
S.
