2018 Friday — North to Vacation

At 9:00 a.m. we rolled out of our Southern California driveway with a 4-hour drive (if there were no traffic issues) to our destination: Cayucos on California’s Central Coast.

South of Santa Barbara we found quite a slowdown and took a side road for several miles. Once we got through the ritzy glitzy Montecito area of Santa Barbara, the traffic decreased and never slowed again.

Normally we would have come here in mid-December and stayed till mid-February, but we had to return last Saturday to our place in SoCal to attend a funeral yesterday. So today we were focused on getting to Cayucos. And we did get here!!!
