We Didn’t Start The Fire

Dear O'H dear and Lovely Tea Jenny,

Murphy and I left the house just as it was starting to get light and went for a huge walk through the forest and up Scolty Hill.

It was absolutely beautiful. The silence of the forest broken only by birdsong and the thundering of Murphy chasing rabbits. When we got to the top of the hill (Murphy bounding and me puffing through the heather), there wasn’t another soul to be seen and the sky was on fire.

We spent the rest of the day eating, chatting and playing cards. And eating. There was a lot of eating. And drinking!

I am worried that Murphy won’t want to leave tomorrow. As well as getting to run around the forest, he has been getting accustomed to snacks of blinis with cream cheese and smoked salmon!
