A hot tub is born

My immobility sadly meant that I couldn't join the team of expert ancient bath tub movers, but wonderfully so, I was able to marvel from the side lines and take pictures of stage I of Tony T's wood fired hot tub idea. It looked, at times, a little uncertain for the path of this heavy inhospitable structure but they managed to shuffle it down the garden with close communication and vintage techniques. Yet another reason to come back in the Spring, to see if this inventive relaxation source will be as good as it sounds..

It was cutting it a bit close, but we managed to finish all of the signage for the summer Kontzertuas; it's been so good to be completely absorbed in a painting project throughout my crippledom and no doubt managed to dissuade me from attempting injured bicycle rides or chasing after too many more donkeys.

When the day rolled in and the huge howling winds began hammering against the shutters, we lit a roaring fire and hunkered down to a final giggly board game with the cat. And then we carried on mainly watching the cat grow warmer and warmer and purrier and purrier.

One final sleep beneath the great high ceilings of Santa Maria before leaving early tomorrow morn before the new light strikes the curvaceous misty hills, we so hope to see you again some day.
