Happy New Year

Entry for 31st and 1st (can’t seem to add anything for the 31st for some reason...I must be doing something wrong!).

31st: After a day visiting temples and a spice garden, we spent the evening on the terrace, and welcomed the new year in several countries. Picture is of C looking dashing in his hat just after midnight.

1st: Spent the day in Kandy, walking around the town, in the beautiful botanic gardens, and in the evening saw a traditional dance and fire walking show. The fire walking was impressive, but would have been more so if we hadn’t been ushered into the car park at the back of the theatre to see that part!
