Porth Ceiriad
The sun was out today and it's the first time since we've been in Wales that the sky is blue. I went for a run around 10am and ended up doing my fastest 5k. Penny had a hairdresser's appointment at 11.15 so Ben dropped us off in town and I paid for the hair cut and then ran back home. Penny came home about half an hour later and had had about 5 inches cut off. It looked really nice. I then went back to town to but some stuff for lunch.
I called a local garage asking if they could look at Gwen (the car) because the engine keeps cutting off after about 20 metres. Daniel was going to tow her there but then Ben realised that there was no way to tow her. He called the RAC instead. They did some diagnostic testing which confirmed that the cam belt had gone. The mechanic said that it would cost more to fix the car than its worth.
At 2.30pm, Non and Rhodri came round and we went to Porth Ceiriad beach with Anne and Penny. It took a little while to find the beach. It was only when we got to the beach that we realised that we had forgotten the cups so we had to take it in turns to have a cup of tea using the flasks' cups. It was very cold there.
We got back to the house around 5pm and Richard was waiting for us. We had a cup of tea and I offered him the shortbread that we had taken to the beach with us but he said that they were covered in sand. We'd been invited to Arfon and Tash's for dinner and Non came with us. We were back by 9pm.
Penny received an email from UCL asking her to submit her portfolio for the Architecture course that she has applied for. She is now panicking and convinced that she is not good enough. She has no confidence in herself at all.
