Diary of an Edinburgher

Visiting

Bike

JR skipped off into town to have lunch with a couple of ex-colleagues, so Archie and I skipped off up the hill.

But before we went there, we popped in to visit Uncle A - and Archie this time has taken to barking excitedly in the foyer, then barking as he charges down the corridor to meet Uncle A standing outside his door.

We then went up the hill. It was a grey day, but no wind. Archie proceeded to dig up mud and within minutes his beard is black, which is why I only take photos at the beginning of any walk, while he's relatively clean. Or, as in this one, when his mucky beard isn’t visible. He loves chomping on a clump of mud, which is pretty strange, but I suppose it could be worse, thinking of what some dogs eat...

There are huge bushes of this gorse all over Blackford Hill, which looks lovely when it's in bloom, but it's so invasive. A while ago, I came across a group of people chopping down down the bushes. Such hard work! Presumably, it'll all be burned at some point.

From there we popped in to visit Bailey's mum for a while, before coming home for a shower and blow dry (Archie) and a coffee and choccie biccie (me).
