Fisher king

Went across to the Stockbridge market in hopes of the cheese man and the pie dolly - but neither of them was there. There were fewer stalls than usual, perhaps just recovering from the festives. Still, we were able to say hi to SB, pick up a couple of things from Ridleys and get cheese from Mellis over the road.

We walked back along the WoL and were treated to a fine display of zooming and diving by the kingfisher. Strange how hard to spot they can be at times, considering their dazzling, almost luminescent, plumage. Photo is heavily cropped, natch, but I was very pleased to see him!
