Lost and Found

Thank you for all the loveliness shown to yesterday.

The glorious weather returned again today... Missy and Me didn't need any more encouragement than that to head out again.
We saw not a soul on a lovely loop in the Haweswater Nature Reserve.
This valley of ghosts is a fantastically accessible place to get away from it all, one of my most favourite places to simply follow my nose, something a day like today was made for, wandering with no real plan.
It's a stiff little climb up on the old corpse road, still in the shade everything above 300m was bullet hard. We paused a while at these lovely ruins to ponder on the tales they could tell - what did they see perched here as first the dam then the waters rose high? A valley, a village, a way of life all lost? Or a valley, a wildness and a purpose all found ?

In extras, I'm not much of a one for selfies, but I love this, happy and Miss-Chief-ious, a sense of adventures to come.
