Emergency vet trip
I was worried about Puddy before I left for work this morning (Activity Morning for those wishing to join us next September) and by the time I got home at lunchtime things seemed pretty bleak. She was incredibly quiet, hiding under the bed, and still hadn’t eaten or drunk anything since yesterday’s surgery.
On my third call to the vets to ask their advice they suggested I brought her in.
Thankfully she’s not dehydrated (yet) but her temperature is up slightly so they gave her a long lasting (8 hour) painkilling injection. They suggested I take off the cone to try to tempt her with a little food (a pouch of gastrointestinal food which they gave me to try).
We’re booked in again tomorrow morning (Sunday) as she’s now considered “high risk”.
When we got home I did as the vet suggested and she actually ate a tiny bit of food. It’s a start.
Come on Mrs Rossi-cat, you can get through this. x
