Sitting Ducks?

I think these are goosanders or mergansers, but I don't know.  I saw them in the Slitrig Water in Hawick, but I couldn't find a gap in the trees to get a clear shot. 

It was a very dull day today, grey everywhere and the museum was shut. I was hoping to get some pictures there.  

Al and WeeBoy are still in hospital, but hoping to be discharged tonight, once the paperwork is completed. I still haven't seen a proper picture of him.
