Through the gate.

Dragged two children screaming and kicking to get some fresh air and exercise:

"why?
"because it's a nice day"
"why?"
"because fresh air is good for you"
"WHY!?"
"because I need a blip and if I left you alone in the house social services would come and take you into care!"

(I often find that honesty is the best policy when parenting -- don't you?)

No 1 was off to a school show rehearsal - we dragged No 2 and No 3 to Lauriston Castle. A wonderful little escape - although it doesn't sell tea and cake - but there's great parking and it's FREE !

Should have stayed at home and blipped my blippin' naval fluff...for all the trouble it caused. Actually No 3 enjoyed herself but a stroppy teenager doesn't make good company.

(sigh)

But we are home now and she has plugged herself into the internet (no doubt to moan to other teenagers about how HORRIBLE her mum is!).

Only the ironing to look forward to now....!
