A sharp overnight frost...

ensured the deep snow had a crust on top, which made walking noisy and difficult. The snow here was at least 25cms deep, which meant lifting each footstep out of its hole! However, it looked so beautiful! The loch must be thawing as it is visible and it was not yesterday.
Later, the temperature rose to 4C and the snow is reducing somewhat, but such a dump will take some time at this time of year.
Noticeably lighter mornings and evenings , so spirits are lifting.
