Finally....

got to the loch today , as the road in has been ice bound for a week and today's temperatures continued to be positive, after overnight frost. Despite this, the snow is still reducing very slowly and everywhere is still well covered. Looks good with blue skies and sun though. Feels great with hot sun reflected off iced snow.
Up at the croft, one of the chickens is like a feather-duster, not well at all. My instructions are to put it in the bin with the pheasant when it dies! I'm hoping to restore it to health, but it is very elderly!
