Our current home and a very nice place it is too

This is a shepherds hut in the village of Fox Glacier, appropriately near to the Fox Glacier.Visiting the glacier has to be in an organised tour, with the normal costs. We were fortunate that our hut is on a small road that, at its far end, has a very nice view of the glacier. There is a sign in the field of cows next to the road saying they are Glacier View Herefords. Not sure if this makes them more expensive or more satisfied with their life.
We walked around Lake Mathison that is renounced for its views. It looks as if the lake and the glacier are on a standard excursion for coach companies as it was heaving. This was the first disappointment of our tour.
The weather has been very changeable so decided to drive to the coast at Okarito,on the shores of the Tasman Sea (or the Ditch as it appears to be called) Beach had loads of drift wood on it again, the same as Haast. Could be an investment opportunity for someone who knows what to do with driftwood.
The blip was taken when we returned from our evening meal. We eat outside in bright sunshine. It was only when we left that we saw these dark beauties behind the restaurant.I hope they go away as rain on the huts roof will be very loud
