Anticipation

Today is Chris’s birthday. She is a widow and her three children live in far-flung parts of England, so I asked her and a few of her friends for lunch. Linda made this pretty cake.

Mr C doesn’t agree with Valentine Day as he thinks it is commercial nonsense to get us to part with our money. Which reminds me of a conversation with the boys a couple of nights ago. Thomas said he wasn’t going to have children as he’d have to spend all his money buying their food, clothes and toys. James said he would have children as he didn’t mind spending his money on their food, and they could share his toys.
