He first loved us

It was one of our young people’s birthdays today and as it also fell on Valentine’s Day and our cake duty day, Ellie decided to bake. The birthday girl had said, very definitely, that she didn’t wanted anything pink or in the shape of a heart. I think Ellie did well.

We made a delicious combination of mac & cheese and cauliflower cheese tonight, which one of the young people renamed macaflower cheese. It’s got a certain ring to it.

Our candidate has accepted the job offer. I’m delighted.
