NICE THINGS

It might be breaching copyright to produce the whole cartoon, but here's a slice.  It's by First Dog on the Moon, of the Australian edition of the Guardian, and one of my favourite cartoonists.   I particularly love this one. What would you put in the space at the bottom?  For me it would be hanging out washing, picking blackcurrants and cuddling babies. 

The nicest thing today was a phone call with Ruth, the colorectal nurse.  She combines compassion with efficiency and keeps us informed at every step.  She called to arrange an appointment for Monday afternoon, when we will hear the results and proposed treatment plan.  Everything is really happening very quickly.  Blessings on the NHS.

In other news, it rained, I did the ironing and lazed about, recovering from the UTI.
