21 in the Arctic

It’s Sarah’s actual birthday today - she turned 21 on an overnight train from Helsinki - it was, according to John, in another league to the overnight sleeper from Preston to Fort William, but still a tad small. It did the job and by noon we had crossed the Arctic Circle ( see extras) and were sitting in a Kota full of people from Hong Kong, eating salmon cooked on the fire.

Sarah has had a lovely day, and we are now installed in our fabulous Arctic cabin awaiting collection for a reindeer safari. I think on my 21st I just drank too much in a Plymouth nightclub....
