London....Life!!
What a fantastic day....a trip to London!
I love that city and its many facets. Its like a diamond in the rough, waiting for the lapidary's skill as he examines every possible cleft he can make in its contours.....never quite executing the final blow because each skilful turn brings light to bear on another fascinating angle still yet to be explored!
Just love those red London buses!
GK and I used SW Rail to reach its inner heart as we planned to meet with fellow blipper Tig.bmp and her son Simon over lunch. Had such a fabulous time before parting ways, only to meet once again before midnight on blipfoto.
GK and I wore out our feet along the entire length of Oxford Street and Bond Street, through every floor of Liberty's, Selfridges and Hamleys, a quick detour into Trafalgar Square to see Norwegian spruce and listen to the choirs, then crossing Óld Father Thames to broggle through the German Christmas market 'lookalike' on the South Bank...a veritable feast of colours and smells to delight the nostalgia buds.... before finally making our way back to Waterloo Station and SW Rail.
Home to -1, a car that needed defrosted and the eventual warmth of a gas fire! Utter bliss!
Happy Blipping Everyone....trust your day was just as adventurous!
