Wet daffodils

Today's the day …………………….. to count your blessings

Sometimes on a day such as this - grey and wet, with no light to speak of anywhere - you get to the end of it and wonder what on earth you are going to blip?  Today, the result was this damp daffodil, a few feet from the kitchen door. 

But, in fact - believe it or not - there are two things to be grateful for in this picture.  One is that it is the first clump of little daffodils to come into flower in our new garden.  And the other is that in order to take it, I went out through the French windows from the kitchen on to the patio.

I've always wanted to have a kitchen that had French windows out to the garden ……………………..
