Old School.

We have started getting milk, apple juice and eggs delivered.
Okay, a bit more costly than the supermarket - but there is the convenience, the knowledge that the farmers are getting a slightly more realistic price, the containers are all recyclable - and the taste of the eggs is so, so much better.
There is also the memories of childhood that come back seeing the bottles on the front doorstep.

As a real youngster I used to go and 'help' deliver milk with our milkman who used a horse and cart and worked from what is now The Hunter's Tryst pub and eatery.

A bit more about the building …….. it used to be used as the meeting place for "The Six Foot Club" which included Sir Walter Scott and Robert Louis Stevenson (who didn't actually reach the height but who did holiday in a house in Swanston Village).
