White spotted hellebore

This is currently the best of a number of white spotted hellebores in the garden. It's quite a bit ahead of the others and has a mass of blooms this year. The colour contrast between the white and the wine-coloured spots looks good against the green background foliage. I should have got round to trimming away last year's leaves by now, but it'll have to wait until the weekend.

This must be the warmest February day for years. If it's going to persist I'll have to get out and start the spring tasks in the garden. There's a bit of trimming to do before the birds start to nest and various bits of garden woodwork that need attention. The greenhouse needs a good clean too, and then I can start to think about tomatoes for the coming season.
