WHAT A HOT DAY IN FEBRUARY!!!!!

Today was Bonsai at the nursery in the forest.  The weather report was for 81 F, and very windy.   The weatherman got the windy part right but the the temp was wrong.  It went up to near 90 in the forest.  For the people under the pavilion , it was incredibly comfortable because of the strong winds cooling us off.   But the girls were in the car.  Even with the windows open, the sunroof open and the hatch in back open, the car temp was over 92, leaving the girls drinking loads of water, panting like mad, and really uncomfortable.   For the first time in all the years I have brought them to the nursery, they jumped out of the car to get cooler.  
      I packed up my plants and tools, said my good byes and headed home at noon.  At least we had gotten a really nice walk at 8:30 am, which is the Blip for the day.   Not the best photo, but we sure did enjoy the cooler air.
The temps we have had all week are very warm for February......    The girls may have had their last visit to the nursery until next fall.......
