Ngorongoro Crater

This has to be my favourite place, it's simply teeming with all manner of animals, except giraffes.  We even had a heavy rainstorm, which made the roads rather treacherous and meant we had to have our picnic in the Land Rover overlooking a lake of hippos, with Black Kites circling overhead.

I've added extras of a kestrel, a monkey, zebra, jackal, lion, flamingoes and a wilderbeast.

We had a lovely surprise when we returned to our room last night, the bed had been turned down and we had hot water bottles, not that we needed them.

If you look carefully at this picture you'll see a couple of hyenas flaked out by the side of the lake.
