Memories

Crocus vernus albiflorus.  Two flowering corms in a small pot, raised from seed I collected in the alps in 2003.  I remember finding the seed capsules, the plants growing in a track across a meadow, well fertilised by cows!  Oh, and it was raining.  I was on a long weekend break and although I arrived on a sunny day the three days hiking were all wet to varying degrees.  I made the most of that sunny arrival day.  Having flown out of Luton at 7am I was at 7000ft on the Schilthorn by 2pm!  I've added a (cheeky) extra pic from that day, looking up to the summit.

My father-in-law still clings to life.
